    Louis Vuitton SS13

Inspired in part by les Deux Plateaux by Daniel Buren (seen above at the Palais Royal, Paris) The checkerboard checks referencing the Damier pattern of Louis Vuitton, bring a sixties feel to the collection which was interpreted literally by the hair and makeup teams with back-combed beehives and khol lined eyes.

Re-see appointment at Dries Van Noten.
On paper plaid, metallic and floral sounds, well, odd. Indeed even when seen hanging separately in the showroom is hard to envisaged how this would work but work it does. In a styling triumph, every runway exit in this collection looks super cool. The fabrications are beautiful, organza plaid mixes beautiful with metallic embellishment and chiffon florals sit well paired with a checked shirt. Be inspired, mix and match and channel some Dries spirit in your wardrobe.
