Farewell Stefano.
It was a standing ovation at YSL tonight, led from the front row by Katy Perry. The collection opened with a hooded black coat with leather lapels and cuffs. The AW leather trend continued, shown as pants, coats and cinch belted blouson tops. The Calla lily motif, said to symbolise magnificent beauty, (they are also funeral flowers so make of that what you will), appeared throughout as scattered prints, emblazoned on a jacket edge or collar and as silver jewellery. Chainmail in silver, violet and emerald added a tougher edge to YSL’s eveningwear offerings.
